Great news! Free meals will now be provided to all PreK-12 students through the end of this school year! The announcement was made by U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Purdue last week. The USDA previously extended child nutrition waivers through December 2020 based upon available funding at the time. Check out this slideshow on our district website to see some of the delicious meals our team is serving up this year!

Meal delivery via bus has begun! Delivery is available to all students on the days they are engaged in remote learning. Please order meals to be delivered ONLY for the days your student(s) will be learning remotely. If your student will be learning remotely all five days, you may order for all five days. Delivery order forms are posted weekly, on Wednesday, on the menus tab of the Nutritional Services page of the district website. The online ordering system is only for the days your student(s) is engaged in remote learning at home. You do not need to order meals in advance on the days that your child is in school or enrolled in a School's Out or Pre-K program located in a school building.
Orders must be submitted by Friday at 1 PM for the following week. You will need to place an order for each student in your household. Home delivery will occur between 10:30 AM and 12 PM, Monday-Friday. The delivery option will also be extended to the community, but individuals will need to contact Rhonda Ketner at firstname.lastname@example.org or 652-7160 to be added to the delivery list. These individuals will also need to order in advance.
The drive through pickup site operations continue as well at the concession stand in the Farrell Family Pavillion on Munson Field/Iverson Track from 9:00 AM- 10:30 AM. Please follow signs to the pickup area and wear a mask. This pickup site can be accessed by anyone under the age of 18 in our community and signup is not required. Breakfast and lunch will be picked up together.

All children in South Burlington under the age of 18 will be fed free of charge through December 31, 2020 or as long as funding remains available. U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue announced the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) will extend several flexibilities that allow summer meal programs to continue into the fall months.
For the week of September 8th, delivery of meals via bus will not be taking place. Instead, the District Nutritional Services team will operate a drive through pickup location (with masks and physical distancing required) on the FHTMS property at 500 Dorset Street (follow signs for exact pickup location) from 9-10:30 am. This pickup site can be accessed by anyone under the age of 18 in our community and signup is not required. Breakfast and lunch will be picked up together.
Starting Monday, September 14th, in addition to maintaining the pickup site referenced above, we will begin bus delivery of breakfast and lunch, Monday-Friday, between 10 am and noon (lunch for that day and breakfast for the following morning), to students engaged in remote learning. The meals for delivery will have to be ordered via an online survey that will be emailed to all parents the week prior. The delivery option will also be extended to the community but they will need to contact Rhonda Ketner at email@example.com or 652-7160 to be added to the delivery list and they will also need to order in advance. Menus will be regularly updated and can be found here.
